TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections

We are fully committed to the high expectations of our customers, from initial tender stage through to the completion of projects.

Air Conditioning systems over 12kW must be inspected and tested by an accredited Air Conditioning Inspector.

Interspace Building Services Limited is a family run Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Specialist, established since 2003 in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

Why do you need to have your air conditioning inspected?

In England and Wales the Energy Performance of Buildings (EPB) Regulation 20 implements Article 9 of the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD)(*1), states that Air Conditioning systems first put into service on 1st January 2008 with an effective rated output of 12kW or more requires an Air Conditioning inspection. They should then be re-inspected every five years.

The mandatory requirement is to give information about the plant, its operation and its performance. The inspection process is largely none invasive. However, detailed information such as commissioning data, building log books and control details are required. If this is not available, then the assessor will make allowances for this with in the report.

We will produce a report based on the C. I. B. S. E. TM44 format. Once the report is compiled it shall be lodged on the ‘Landmark’ register system.
